DA-01-01	Demonstrate ability to apply critical thinking and clinical judgment in response to a fire emergency.
DA-01-02	Demonstrate knowledge of fire safety policy, procedures, and staff responsibilities in the event of a fire in the health care setting.
	Demonstrate knowledge and ability to be prepared for a fire emergency, i.e., know the location and understand the operation of all fire safety equipment such as:
DA-01-03	fire exits
DA-01-04	fire / smoke doors
DA-01-05	pull stations
DA-01-06	extinguishers.
	Demonstrate knowledge and ability to respond to a fire situation, e.g.,
DA-01-07	Remove those who are in immediate danger.
DA-01-08	Ensure doors are closed and fire is contained in one area.
DA-01-09	Activate the fire alarm.
DA-01-10	Call appropriate personnel to report fire.
DA-01-11	Try to extinguish fire using appropriate equipment, if safe to do so.
DA-01-12	Demonstrate ability to evacuate clients as appropriate.
DA-01-13	Demonstrate ability to appropriately record fire and follow-up actions.
